Fast. Private. Easy.
Food insecurity can affect anyone.
Food insecurity refers to the USDA’s measure of lack of regular access to enough food for an active and healthy life for all household members and limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally-adequate foods.
Food insecure households are not necessarily insecure all of the time. Food insecurity may reflect a household’s need to make trade-offs between important basic needs such as housing, medical bills, and purchasing nutritionally-adequate foods.
In Portage County nearly 20% of the population has faced food insecurity over the past two years.
Joining the NGCC is fast, private and easy. Just bring a bill in your name/address, your drivers license or state ID, and a list of the names and birthdates of the members of your household.
