As clients of the Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard (NGCC), we wanted to share some important updates regarding our home delivery service for the upcoming year, effective January 1, 2024.
The continuous growth in the number of clients opting to make use of our home delivery service has led us to make some adjustments to our delivery schedule. These changes are designed to ensure a more efficient and timely distribution of resources, enhancing the support we provide to our community.
Starting in January, our scheduled home delivery days will be as follows:
- For clients residing in Freedom Township, deliveries will take place on the first Wednesday of each month.
- Clients in Garrettsville Village and Eastern Nelson Township can expect deliveries on the second Wednesday of each month.
- For clients located in Nelson Township, deliveries will occur on the third Wednesday of the month.
Current home delivery clients will receive their specific delivery dates in a letter next week. Please take a moment to mark these delivery dates on your calendar. We understand the significance of this service to you and want to ensure a smooth transition to the new schedule. Your deliveries will continue once a month throughout 2024 unless you notify us at 330-527-2011.
In line with our charter, all NGCC clients will be asked to reverify their household information. In early 2024, we will provide you with a form specifically for this purpose. Your cooperation in completing this verification process will allow us to update our records, meet the requirements of the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank, and maintain our commitment to assisting those in need.
